Raj & Saun-Yeah’s Post Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai Life – What Happened Next Chapter 1
If you thought that Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai ended with Raj and Sonia (or Saun-Yeah, as most people pronounce her name) getting hitched and going off to New Zealand, you, my friend, are mistaken. For, stories don’t end where movies end. And here’s giving a fair assumption of what might have happened after Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai ended.
So, Raj, Saun-Yeah, and Rohit’s brother Amit (yeah, that perpetually stoned kid), move to New Zealand. And soon, Raj and Saun-Yeah realize that Amit was the way he was, not because of grief on losing his brother. But because he had an addiction to cannabis. He would just sit and eat Nachos all day long, would not know his own name at times and would even walk into Raj and Saun-Yeah’s intimate moments.
They put him into rehab. And just as they thought now they’ll get some time and space for romance, Raj’s dad dies. It may even be mom, though. But my bet is, it would be the dad. I mean, just look at the dude. He looks super old. He looks exactly like the type of characters who would just die. And since it doesn’t happen in the span of the movie, we can safely say that he must have died right after the movie ends.
After Raj recovers from the grief, he tries to re-kindle his relationship with Saun-Yeah. But he soon realises that Saun-Yeah is just in love with the way he looks, because he looks exactly like her dead ex-boyfriend. She is not exactly interested in knowing more about him, his dreams and hopes, and his fears. To be fair, even we, as an audience, don’t really know what Raj is all about, save for those specs and bad Urdu. As Raj learns the hard way, nobody cares.
Soon, Raj gets bored of her blank, staring-into-nothingness face, and falls for her cousin Neeta. They both combine to dump Saun-Yeah back to India.
After a while, Amit is released from rehab. But nobody bothers to come and receive him. Which results in him spending the rest of his life in that wretched rehab.
Raj and Neeta live happily after. But do they? * cue evil laughter *
