People On Twitter Couldn’t Digest The Sarcasm In Twinkle Khanna’s Tweet On Karwa Chauth
Twitterati is known for its caustic humor, but this time they just didn’t get Twinkle Khanna’s tweet.
Twinkle Khanna has a reputation for being outspoken and a wisecracker. She is badass and rocks her no f***ks to give attitude proudly. And sometimes it does not go well with the audience. The twitter folks who are known for their sarcasm, this time around didn’t get her brand of sarcasm when she tweeted this:
Scientists studying longest living mammals, bowhead whales found for a long life what is needed is a slow metabolism & not wives who fast:)
— Twinkle Khanna (@mrsfunnybones) October 8, 2017
In her own way, Twinkle Khanna put forth her views on Karwa Chauth. I bet many foodies too agree with her. But as always, us Indians take offense to everything and nothing. The tweet was taken too seriously and it offended some people.
This is what they had to say.
I wonder how the hell these so called celebs find everything wrong in Hinduism and don't have the balls to say anything abt other religions

There are scientific reasons for fasting too! Some people fast for longer than a day. That has not caused them harm in hundred years.

"Karwa Chauth" is a sweet emotional gesture by loving wife, backed by the power of Indian Tradition.Anyway fasting fr 30 days is progressive.

Scientists say those people who can't speak a word on other religious practices, but can say about Hindu practices are hypocrites

While there were naysayers, there were others who took the tweet in the right spirit and decided not to make it a big deal.
Exactly! How can KC affect the mortality rate of the husband species? At least this proves husbands aren't gods! They are mortals after all.

Bang on! Much needed tweet to promote the discontinuation of useless traditions.

This is not the way of celebrating relationship what I feel. Because if any lady faints because of not having water will not show her love.

Whether the woman fasts or not should be her choice and I don’t think it should be barometer of her wifeness but dont deride w/out knowing
