Rishi Kapoor Blames Anurag Basu And Kashyap For Ranbir’s Failure; Calls Them ‘Bandars’!

Rishi Kapoor is the last person who’d filter his words before talking and that is what makes him the perfect guest for Neha Dhupia’s chat show ‘No Filter Neha’. The veteran actor spoke his heart out and well maybe spoke a little too much about Anurag Kashyap and Anurag Basu.

Rishi Kapoor was given a minute to talk about the topic ‘Anurag’ for one minute and he made sure he utilized these 60 seconds and spoke about both the Anurags who have directed his son, Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir was seen in Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Bombay Velvet’ and Anurag Basu’s ‘Barfi’ and ‘Jagga Jasoos’.

This is what Rishi Kapoor had to say about Anurag Kashyap and Anurag Basu:

Anurag? There is Anurag Kashyap, who made Bombay Velvet, but he made a better film in Gangs Of Wasseypur, I couldn’t understand head or tale of Bombay Velvet. And then there was (Anurag) Basu who made Barfi, an outstanding film. I am so happy he took my son for it. My son got great recognition for the film and then he made this Gajja Jasoos. . . what Jagga Jasoos whatever. . . which he made a total mess of. It was as messy as my pronunciation was. He probably got indulged too much. I guess both the Anurags got indulged in their films. You know when they are good enough to work on a certain budget and suddenly they are given huge budgets in hand so bandar ke haath mein khilona nahin aa jaata hai, he goes absolutely berserk. So I think that’s what actually happened with both these guys. They were given budgets they could not handle and I guess it happens. It happens with every director, every actor you can’t have a hundred percent record anyway… so it happens.

Whoa, now isn’t that a little too harsh? Rishi Kapoor is the last person to expect diplomacy from? He often does the same on Twitter and well, lands himself in trouble.
