Indians See Another Scam As Court Frees All Accused In The ₹30,000 Crore 2G Scam

The court acquitted all accused in the 2G Scam and Indians reacted the way they should.

Today, a special CBI court acquitted all accused including former telecom minister A Raja and DMK MP Kanimozhi, in the Rs 30,000 crore 2G spectrum allocation scam cases. Reason? The lack of evidence against the accused.

“The Court said that the prosecution has miserably failed to prove any of its charge. Thus all accused are acquitted,” defence counsel Vijay Aggarwal said outside the courtroom soon after the shock verdict.

The trial in 2G spectrum scam, which cost the-then UPA government heavily, began in 2011 after the court had framed charges against 17 accused in CBI’s case.

Here’s what Indians tweeted after court’s shocking verdict.
