Indian Football Fans Took Over The Delhi Metro With Their Passionate Chants & It Was Amazing
“Oh when the Bluessss… Go marching in! I wanna be in that number… When the Blues go marching in!”
As you all know, the FIFA U17 World Cup is being held in India right now.
A billion dreams turned into a reality as the Indian team finally managed to make an appearance in a FIFA tournament.
The Indian starlets have already played two of them group games and sadly, they’ve been beaten on both the occasions. But it’s not about the results, because Indian players had to fight an uphill battle that wasn’t just restricted to the pitch.
It was about the lack of a proper infrastructure, proper coaching techniques and the overall support from the society for the sport.
The Indian team has made us proud. They’ve carried the burden of a billion dreams on their shoulders and have delivered on them.
One of the biggest turnarounds during the U17 World Cup has been the quality of support that the team has managed from the cheering audiences.
You might have seen the entire Wankhede chant Sachin Tendulkar’s name in unison but the crowd at New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium managed something similar.
We came across a video on Superpower Football‘s Facebook page about the fans taking over the Delhi Metro with their chants.
We’re so glad to see that the Indian football fans are out in full force to cheer for our beloved Blues. Together, we shall overcome.
The Blues are playing the third and last match of their group stage against Ghana tonight. Make sure to make your support heard. Indian Football needs our love and support.
