Here Are Some Chilling Revelations Hrithik Roshan Made In His Interview With Arnab Goswami

Baithe baithe kya kare, karna hai kuchh kaam. Samay batane ke liye lete hai dekhte hai iss interview ka parinaam.

One of the biggest controversies to have plagued Bollywood in the rest past has been the whole Kangana-Hrithik spat. What started with a silly remark about an ex, snowballed into a full-blown criminal investigation about stalking. This controversy had everything Abbas-Mustan could have possibly thought of while making Race 3. Yeah, I’m kidding. Please don’t make a third installment for the Race franchise.

Earlier this week, Hrithik Roshan took to Facebook to finally speak up about the incident after 4 years. Today, he had an interview with Arnab Goswami where he made quite a few revelations about the spat.

The interview kicked off with a visibly awkward handshake between Hrithik and Arnab. You could cut the tension with a knife.

Here are a few things that he had said in his interview with Republic:

Hrithik interview

Arnab: Why are you here? You have spoken anything in the last four years.

Hrithik: I don’t consider myself the victim in this case. Nothing in my life will ever make me think that way about myself.

Hrithik interview
Arnab: But why did you never speak to Kangana about these mails?
Hrithik: “I had a very in-depth conversation with Mr Javed Ahmad who was the commissioner at that time. I just wanted to meet Kangana and her family to find a solution but he stopped me. But he told me that after that meeting, there was no way to predict how Kangana would construe this meeting.”

Arnab: What happened in the party?

Hrithik: We were in a party in Jordan. After the party, she asked me for some advice about her life choices. After I went back to my hotel. Someone was knocking loudly and I looked through the peephole and saw it was Kangana. She was not in a condition to talk so I called my assistant who got Rangoli to come down and take Kangana to her room. Rangoli apologised for Kangana’s behaviour. All of this was in October 2012.

Arnab: Did you try talking to her about this?

Hrithik: I requested Sajid Nadiadwala to give me half an hour so that I can send my manager to meet Rangoli and I wanted her to make her aware that there were emails being sent to me.

Here are the outtakes from the interview that Hrithik Roshan said:

I was proud of Kangana at one point.

(During Kites) We didn’t become good friends. Through Krissh 3 as well, I found her (Kangana) extremely professional and well-prepared.

Mumbai Police Comissioner asked me not to meet her (Kangana).

There are mails where she describes the last day of Krissh 3. She said that she couldn’t talk to me.

In Kangana’s mail about the promotions for Krissh 3, she says that she was too shy to talk to me. She is never able to tell me things that she wanted to tell me. But she’ll now tell me all those things in the mail. She wrote this in a mail in 2014.

I don’t consider myself the victim in this case. Nothing in my life will ever make me think that way about myself.

I am very very uncomfortable talking about this controversy right now.

Whatever I say can and will be used against me for who I am. I’m afraid that my words might get construed.

I am not a confrontational person. I’ve never had a fight in my life. Even in my divorce, it was very peaceful.

There is no grace in sitting here and testifying about my character or proving myself right by proving someone else wrong.

The controversy was affecting me. I was pretending that it didn’t bother me. It isn’t heroism.

I first met Kangana in 2009 when I was shooting for Kites.

I wonder if my need to please my actors has resulted in someone getting led on.

What’s wrong with a birthday party? There were 100 of them. If there is a celebration, then you do call your team.

I have never met Kangana in my entire life, one on one. Last met her for promotions for Krissh 3.

The media was so hostile. I didn’t have the right platform to talk.

I tried writing a blog to say the truth about twenty time but my friends told me not to do so because I am a star. Being a star was a disadvantage for me.

The whole Paris thing was always in third person. It can easily be denied because it was always sourced to a close friend.

How there was a conflict and I was trying to merge a star life and my human life. All through 2014, 2015, 2016, my name has never been taken.

All of the rumors or the newspapers’ gossip were based on the third source.

I have not replied to any messages I received from her smartphone. From October 2015, I have only received abuses from Kangana.

I didn’t think it was Kangana until I checked all the emails. Rangoli sent me an email about me hacking into Kangana’s account.

It took me 5 minutes to realize that it wasn’t my email address.

I wasn’t having a direct conversation with Kangana about the imposter. It was all though Rangoli (Kangana’s sister).

I didn’t reply to any email and didn’t want to be a part of this. After 5 days, I forgot about it. My team was on alert to see whether my account was hacked. I am simply narrating what happened to me. I am not giving any opinion.

The first mails Kangana sent me were explicit and ‘miss you(s)’.

I didn’t want to associate with her. I had no interest in this. All of the emails went into my spam. I never read them.

I was afraid of being judged. But for the years they have judged me, gave remarks. I had to teach my kids if they were being trolled. Her calling me a ‘silly ex’ was the first public harassment.

There are definitely more sides to the story. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out in future.
