Here’s What Critics Have To Say About Wolverine’s Last Film, Logan
So, our favorite man-beast, Wolverine, is back for his swansong. Of course, expectations for the baddest Wolverine film are higher than ever. The film, titled ‘Logan’, is creating waves both in India and abroad. But what do the critics have to say about this film? We give you a rundown.
Owen Gleiberman of Variety writes, “Doesn’t try to be a shoot-the-works, how-crazy-are-his-powers grand finale. It’s a scruffy dystopian road Western that takes its time in a way that most slam-bang superhero movies don’t.”
Sandy Schaefer of Screenrant writes, “X-Men movie franchise connections aside, Logan is a grisly and somber character drama that sends off Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine on a high note.”
Rohan Naahar of Hindustan Times gives it 4.5 stars out of 5, and writes, “Hugh Jackman’s final Wolverine film changes the face of superhero movies forever. It’s the farewell he deserved.”
Mihir Fadnavis of Firstpost gives it 4 stars out of 5, and writes, “The physically broken and emotionally shattered Logan is to deal with a child who seems to face the same predicament as him – it’s as heavy a theme an audience friendly superhero film could carry, but it just works as masterful storytelling rather than a contrived diatribe.”
It is very obvious that the film has got a universal thumbs up from critics, which makes it a perfect send-off for our beloved mutant.
Farewell, my clawed friend.
