In Loving Memory Of The ₹500 and ₹1000 Notes: Here’s The Impact Of Demonetization On Us

Mitrooooooooooon! Aaj raat 12 baje se, aapke paise Congress ki tarah useless ho jayenge mitroooooon…

Exactly 365 days ago, ‘Pradhan Sevak’ Narendra Modi addressed the nation. It was an ordinary evening that would in-turn lead to something out-of-the-box and change our lives forever. Demonetization hit us hard.

With almost no cash at our disposal, we flocked to nearby ATMs to get some cash. But as the age-old adage goes, there was no cash and that lead to no aish. It led to a lot of passionate debates and videos from both the wings of Indian politics. Some loved this idea, some didn’t; but if there’s one thing everyone agrees on, it’s the fact that our lives were never the same.

Almost every digital transaction was being taxed by the government and we ended up losing way too much money because of this. So, even when our accounts and hearts were full, our wallets weren’t.
