Tonight, We’re Not Going To A Place, We’re Going To A Moment In Time That’ll Change Everything

Weeks of planning has led to tonight. We are not going to a place. We’re going to a moment in time that will change everything forever.
Close the door behind us and let’s learn each other as lovers do.

We have to forget everything we know about each other as friends to discover everything we didn’t.

I want to take you by the hand and take you to my secret place.  I want you for my own.
To undress you, one insecurity at a time, until you’re wearing nothing but yourself.

You pull that shirt off my shoulder, and the weight of the world I carry there. Then take me by the waist and pull me close so I can forget what it feels like to be frozen. You lift me up and lower me into the waiting bed. Then you lean in to kiss me, and the world falls away. Fireworks in my head.

I stay in that moment forever. Hold onto you for dear life. My lips find every scar on your skin, and demand to know why.

I want to take everything in, every inch and mile of skin.

You tell me all of your secrets, the secrets you’ve never let me in on before. Your tongue makes me lose all trail of time.

And your hands, tease my silence into a sigh. Slowly.

I come alive at the touch of your lips as they discover the secrets under my skin. They make me gasp, and arch and shudder.  And I open for you, like the skies after summer, raining down on the earth.

I want to run my fingers through your hair and pull you into me, and hold you there, safe.

You worship the breasts that you find so beautiful. You take your time and make your way downwards into my soul. Then dive deep into my emptiness and make me whole again. The rhythm of our heartbeats sets the pace, thrust after thrust bringing us closer to the finish line. And then it happens.

Sweet victory erupts inside of us and surrounds us.

Pause. Breathe. Lick my lips. Then make my way from the bottom to the top, entangling your hands over your head.
Your eyes meet mine, and I know for sure. I need you now more than ever.

After spending pretty much all of my teen years waiting for a Hogwarts letter that never came, I gave up and settled for being a wizard with words instead. A hopeless romantic, when I’m not penning down short stories, I’m busy imagining my own happily ever after.
