This Video Posted By Chester Bennington’s Wife About Depression Will Haunt You Forever!

While the fans are still in mourning, Chester’s wife Talinda Bennington took to Twitter and posted a video of him 36 hours prior to his suicide. The video comes across as a personal memory that was put up by her for the world to see as she wanted people to understand how depression takes over on a completely normal life and leads one to take an extreme step like suicide.

This is what she tweeted before sharing the video on Twitter:

Chester can be seen with his family smiling and laughing just like someone with their family should be. It is impossible to predict that 36 hours later he would kill himself.

“THIS IS WHAT DEPRESSION LOOKED LIKE TO US JUST 36 HRS B4 HIS DEATH. HE LOVES US SO MUCH & WE LOVED HIM.”

Talinda’s words about depression are what we need to understand and speak about. There is no certain definition of being ‘depressed’. There is no ‘stereotypical look’ for depression. What Chester was going through was a clear case of ‘High Functioning Depression’ where the person shows no signs but represses their emotions within.

Let’s just not limit Talinda’s tweet to grief and mourn Chester’s death. Let’s talk about mental awareness openely. Let us get together and help people fight their battle with their inner demons.
