It brings together the best and brightest from all of Marvel’s best and some not-so-best characters to one screen. it’s rare that a film shouldn’t have to market itself aggressively but this one really doesn’t. Honestly, Disney could just put up posters with “Infinity War” written on it in bold black marker and we’d still go see it.

But even a project as potentially profitable as this one deserves a little icing on the cake, and for Indian fans, this icing arrives in the form of our nation’s favourite villain –

Yep, this one.

Bhallaladeva himself will be gracing the battlefield as the voice of the villain Thanos in the upcoming Telugu version of Infinity War.

And if fans are excited, so is Daggubati who released a statement that read –

“I’ve grown up reading Marvel Comics and Marvel movies with their intricately woven storylines. It is fascinating to see how Marvel has created characters and stories that resonate so well with audiences across the globe, making movies at a scale that one had never before imagined,”

The character is played by Josh Brolin in the English version. But considering the vast audience Marvel has garnered over the years, dubbing their films into various languages makes complete sense. and makes even more sense to shove as much star power as possible into each version of their masterpiece. Varun Dhawan, for example, was cast as the voice of Captain America in Civil War.

And if there was anyone who could embody a larger than life villain, it’s the man who brought the vicious Bhallaladeva to life in Baahubali –

“Characters such as Iron Man and Captain America have been my favourites. So dubbing for Avengers: Infinity War was thrilling. Voicing for Thanos, a villain so powerful that some of the biggest superheroes have a tough time dealing with, was an exciting experience,”
