8 Superstars From The 90s Who Made Embarrassing Comebacks In 2017

90’s kids were totally disappointed this year.

The whole deal with comebacks is that you need to be really careful and make a point. Whether it is a verbal comeback or a Bollywood one, it needs to be valid. There is no point in making a comeback which doesn’t pack a punch. So we saw many comebacks this year and they weren’t really that great.

The Bollywood loving kid in us wanted to shake Bollywood and ask them why they made 2017 a year that was so sad. And we’re actually sad that we spent hours of our lives in the theatres.

#1 Govinda- Aa Gaya Hero

We last saw Govinda in Happy Ending (2014). The ‘Hero no.1’ of the nineties came back with a B-grade looking movie and it was just unbearable. No one, we repeat, no one saw the movie, obviously.

#2 Bobby Deol- Poster Boyz

As we all remember he also became DJ Bobby Deol and played Gupt in a pub, it has been quite an eventful year for him. We last saw him on the big screen in 2013 with Yamla Pagla Deewana. Poster Boyz tanked at the box office.

#3 Sohail Khan- Tubelight

After the disastrous ‘Veer’ in 2010, Sohail Khan returned to acting with ‘Tubelight’. The fact that Kabir Khan and Salman Khan came together for a movie like Tubelight was sad enough.

#4 Sridevi- Mom

Sridevi graced the screen after 4 years after English Vinglish. The movie was packed with powerful performances and brilliantly made. Having said that, the movie tanked at the box office.

#5 Sanjay Dutt-Bhoomi

We lost count of the revenge dramas Bollywood made this year. Bhoomi lacked everything it took for a revenge drama. We don’t think anyone headed to the theatre to watch it.

#6 Raveena Tandon- Maatr

Yet another revenge drama with a 90’s diva making a comeback. The movie was horribly made but she was brilliant as a mother avenges her daughter’s death.

#7 Rajpal Yadav- Judwaa 2

Rajpal Yadav had made our 90’s-00’s funnier. Having said that, before Judwaa 2 he was seen in Welcome Back (2015). Judwaa 2 is the third highest grosser of the year but we hope we saw more of him in the movie.

#8 Manisha Koirala- Dear Maya

The extremely talented Manisha Koirala made a comeback to the big screen after her fight with cancer in 2017. ‘Dear Maya’ went unnoticed by the audience.

2017 was a disaster for Bollywood and we hope these heartthrobs come back to the theatres near us with better films.
