7 Bollywood Sequels Releasing In 2018 That You Totally Didn’t See Coming
Bollywood is obsessed with its sequels to hit films. The formula has worked decently well in the past. Going by the same set of characters which worked the first time around, creates a sense of familiarity with the audience, who then laps it up.
2018 is going to be no different. A number of films, that have worked in the past, are coming up with sequels in the coming year.
So, here are 7 sequels, that we are going to see in 2018-
#1 Total Dhamaal
Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit reunite after almost 17 years, in Inder Kumar’s sequel to his hit franchise Dhamaal. Ritiesh Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi and Ajay Devgn are also a part of the film.
It is the sequel to Rajnikanth’s blockbuster Robot (2010). Akshay Kumar plays a super villain in this sci-fi film.
#3 Baaghi 2
Tiger Shroff sports a new, meaner look in the sequel to Baaghi. This is his third collaboration with producer Sajid Nadiadwala, after Heropanti and Baaghi.
After making three horror films set in the year 1920, Vikram Bhatt finally moves on to the next year, ie, 1921, for a brand new haunting. Zareen Khan and Karan Kundra play the lead.
#5 Hate Story 4
Karan Wahi plays the lead role for the first time in a Bollywood movie, in the fourth film of the Hate Story franchise. Ihana Dhillon makes her debut in the film, which also stars Urvashi Rautela.
#6 Race 3
The Race franchise undergoes a complete makeover, with the new star of the franchise being Salman Khan. It is now being helmed by Remo Fernandes, and also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Bobby Deol.
#7 Badlapur 2
Deepika Padukone hops on to the train to revenge in this sequel to Badlapur. However, the film’s shooting is yet to commence.
