These Bollywood Films Would Have Been Very Different If Actors Hadn’t Walked Out Of Them
For actors, things are always planned way ahead of time. Their dates are carefully issued to movies and events, courtesy their managers. Once they decide on a movie, it rarely happens that an actor leaves the project midway. However, sometimes things don’t go well and actors have walked out of movies that had already started with their major work and shooting. Here are 7 actors that walked out of movies after signing them for different reasons.
Before Ameesha Patel, Kareena Kapoor was supposed to debut with Kaho Naa Pyar Hai. The actress, later on, withdrew after shooting certain sequences saying that her role would have been overshadowed by the limelight of Hrithik’s screen space. Later on, the actress debuted with Refugee that released a few months post KNPH.
Earlier, the role of Begum in Fitoor was to be done by Rekha rather than Tabu. After shooting the film for a few days outdoor in Kashmir, the actress walked out of the film for a rather uncanny reason. The actress felt that the character had a lot of resemblance to her own enigmatic life and did not feel comfortable in portraying the role.
3. Aishwarya Rai in Chalte Chalte
The actress was cast opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Chalte Chalte when reportedly her then boyfriend Salman Khan drunkenly misbehaved on the sets of the movie. Later, SRK replaced her with Rani Mukerji in the film. Apparently, there were some other movies where SRK got Aishwarya replaced.
4. Kareena Kapoor in Ramleela
Kareena Kapoor was the first choice to play ‘Leela’ in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Raamleela opposite Salman Khan. But the actress pulled off 10 days before the shooting after the moviemakers demanded more than 100 ‘allotted’ days from her schedule. The actress is also said to have creative indifferences and some reports say she was unhappy with the ‘no pregnancy’ clause.
5. Aamir Khan in Darr
The Yash Chopra movie that eventually skyrocketed Shah Rukh Khan’s career was actually meant for Aamir Khan. But the actor was unfortunately thrown out of the movie, apparently for asking too many questions, as reported by Aamir Khan to Rajeev Masand in a talk show.
6. Aishwarya Rai in Heroine
The movie Heroine was actually chalked out for Aishwarya Rai and the Miss World also attended the press conference with Madhur Bhandarkar and Ronnie Screwala at Cannes talking about it. After barely shooting for just 10 days, she had to leave the movie due to her pregnancy and the role went to Kareena Kapoor.
A little while back Chitrangada Singh had cited the reason for leaving the film saying that the director was forcing her to reshoot the intimate scenes, which eventually led to a verbal spat, and her walking out. Later on, Bidita Bag was roped in as a replacement. The other side of the story says that Singh actually had issues with the scrip, as per Nawaz.
Well, as long as they keep giving power-packed performances, we are pretty okay!
