10 Of The Best Actors Who Made Bollywood Watchable In 2017

2017 was an interesting year, to say the least. The movies that everyone thought will work, did not work. And then there were some movies that came out of nowhere and just proved better than the others.

There were a few unusual actors, who made this year their own, and a few usual suspects. Let’s have a look at the actors who made Bollywood watchable in 2017!

#10 Sanjay Mishra

The veteran actor is at a stage in his career where he can do no wrong. This year he played a small role in Newton, and gave a phenomenal performance in Kadvi Hawa. If you haven’t seen that film, you should.

#9 Akshaye Khanna

Akshaye Khanna played a cop twice this year- in Mom and in Ittefaq. It was especially in Ittefaq that his performance truly lit up the screen.

#8 Varun Dhawan

Varun Dhawan had two commercial hits in Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Judwaa 2. While he did well in both the films, we get a feeling that Varun Dhawan still has a lot of untapped potential.

#7 Saif Ali Khan

Even though both Rangoon and Chef failed, Saif Ali Khan stood his ground in both the films, and did exceedingly well.

#6 Pankaj Tripathi

Pankaj Tripathi had an outstanding year, where he gave stellar performances in Newton, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Gurgaon (look it up) and Fukrey Returns. He is truly a delight to watch on screen!

#5 Vikrant Massey

The young actor finally attracted some much needed eyeballs with his knockout performances in Death In the Gunj and Lipstick Under My Burkha. Let’s all pretend that Half Girlfriend never happened.

#4 Akshay Kumar

The Khiladi of all seasons is doing well every year, in every film that he is a part of. In Jolly LLB 2, and Toilet- Ek Prem Katha, Akshay Kumar acted his heart out.

#3 Ayushmann Khurrana

I personally loved Ayushmann even in Meri Pyari Bindu. But it was his performances in Bareilly Ki Barfi and Shubh Mangal Savdhan, that made me realise that Ayushmann has truly made progress as an actor.

#2 Irrfan Khan

The ever intense Irrfan took the comedy route this year, and shined in both Hindi Medium and Qareeb Qareeb Single.

#1 Rajkummar Rao

What a year this man had! Be it being a claustrophobic man in Trapped, a righteous government officer in Newton, and a henpecked guy turned vagabond in Bareilly Ki Barfi, he did a good job!
