Women Are Retaliating With #Ain’tNoCinderella Photos In Response To BJP Leader’s Comment

Even though we talk so much about the need for women’s safety but the harassment cases keep on getting worse. Recently,  a 29-year-old woman was driving home a little after midnight on Friday, when she was allegedly chased and harassed by two men in a white SUV. One of these men was allegedly Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala’s son, Vikas Barala.

Yes, I am talking about the recent Chandigarh stalking incident that has shocked the country, and drawn strong reactions from the public and politicians alike. Haryana BJP vice president Ramveer Bhatti’s callous remarks in response to the stalking of a woman in Chandigarh, allegedly by Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala’s son, angered many.

He asked, “Why was she allowed to roam around at night?” and within overnight, a deluge of selfies with the hashtag #AintNoCinderella flooded Twitter.
