Barack Obama was America’s president for 8 years. In his term, he chose science, education, and gender equality. He was the man who finally avenged 9/11, made gay marriage legal and ensured health care for all Americans. Today, in his farewell speech, he talked about hope, faith, and unity.
“Every American who lived and breathed the hard work of change — you are the best supporters and organizers anybody could ever hope for, and I will forever be grateful. Because you did change the world.
And that’s why I leave this stage tonight even more optimistic about this country than when we started. ”
Bidding him adieu, Twitter responded in myriad colors with #ObamaFarewell. Here are some of the tweets that literally moved us to tears.
