Keep Calm Because ‘The Chainsmokers’ Just Tweeted About Coming To India!

India has got a huge fan base for the international artists and has always welcomed its favourite artists with utmost love and fervour. While last year finished with a bang on visit by Coldplay, Justin Bieber too got thousands of his fans at the Patil Stadium a month back. And now with Ed Sheeran almost on his way to India, guess it’s no stopping for India to have international concerts! This time, it’s the band that made each one us chant “Baby, Pull Me Closer”. Yes, Chainsmokers, the band that made us dance to ‘Closer’ for weeks is coming to India! ‘Closer’ stayed at the top spot for 12 consecutive weeks.  It is also the second song in the history of the Hot 100 chart to spend 32 weeks in the top ten of the chart.

Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall—smirky DJ-producers who are better known as ‘Chainsmokers’ today, broke into fame some two years ago with the novelty hit track, “#Selfie.” The Band has also collaborated with Coldplay, Halsey, Daya and many more!

And now, Chainsmokers is coming to India. They just recently announced they are extending their world tour and this time, India is surely going to be included!

The time, date and venue of the concert as well as the musical lineup haven’t been released yet. But we are pretty sure it is going to happen this year! Chainsmokers has been topping international music charts with their collab song with Coldplay and they just released their latest album in April.

Announcing their album Memories… Do Not Open, the duo said on their official Facebook page, “We decided a few months ago that it was time to give you guys an album of music. As our songwriting progressed and the music got more personal we started to feel like we had more to say. We were writing songs about ourselves and different things we were dealing with from past present and future.”

We titled the album Memories… Do Not Open, because these songs are very personal to us, collections of private memories and thoughts that we now want to share with you and in the process make ourselves pretty vulnerable but that’s songwriting and music’ goal, to open up and relate to one another”

Meanwhile, listen to these songs on loop –
