April The Giraffe Had A Baby And The Internet Came Up With The Most Bizarre Names!
Asking anything from the internet can be a tricky thing. This incident involving April the Giraffe and her newborn is a very good example of it.
To give you context, Animal Adventure Park in New York has a very popular resident – April the Giraffe – and she had a baby just a few days earlier. The birthing was shared live and the delivery was a struggle. So the happy news was a relief and created a buzz.
The keeper’s announced the good news via their Facebook post.
And then asked the internet audience to name the cute calf.
Twitter, of course, went extra sassy and christened the baby the most bizarre stuff. Here are the highlights.

Could be something to this dawn rumor. Getting off Twitter. Do NOT name my baby "Rain," "Shower," or God forbid "Flower." #AprilTheGiraffe
